Back at it – LIFE UPDATE

Hello, it’s been awhile!

Those that follow the blog, may have noticed that I haven’t posted in a little while. Apologies for that, but the last month has been a bit crazy workwise for me and I was in a bit of a slump with my exercise and creativity. So the blog took a big hit sadly.

But I am back and I have a fair few things planned to post about. I am going to post short blogs daily in November as I go full focus on my weight loss. This will include the workouts I have done and how I am feeling. I feel if I am pushed to do that then I am more likely to keep to it. Plus I have some work time off so I can relax a little more!

BEARD

Now back to what has been going on in my world lately. Well first off, I have a beard now! Partly grown because my girlfriend likes beards and because I wanted to see how it went… I have mixed feelings about the beard and I wonder how guys cope with them. Victoria got me this face wash/beard wash to help it is less annoying. I have always been very much a stubble guy, but a lot of people have been saying that I look good with a beard, but I am less sure about it still. But wait until tomorrow for a beard post!

BUYING A HOUSE

I have finally had my application approved to buy my family home and I am ecstatic about this. It has been a major stress to me for the past year and a half and I think it was one of my causes for my weight gain. Now with this being processed then I can relax a bit more and start to focus on me. I am so happy to buy the house as I know everything I need to know about the house, plus I am getting to buy my first home relatively young for a great price. Again this will be in a future post (Sunday) so keep an eye out for that.

WEIGHT

So I had been gaining weight gradually for the length of me trying to purchase this house and I had hoped that in September that I would start losing again before Christmas. Well on a positive note, I haven’t gained weight! But also I haven’t lost either. I have been able to curb the gain and now I am to lose a little more before the end of the month and then go hell for leather until Christmas. I have an aim of losing 2 stone in the 55 days before Christmas, which might be a high aim, but oh well! Monday will be the start of my weekly plans so you lovely folks can follow what I do!

DESIGN

One of the positives of having to work a hell of a lot lately is that I have finally been able to stretch my design limbs and create for work. So on Wednesday check out my portfolio page to see a big burst of design! A mixture of posters and leaflets have been made up while I was also doing the main job. So I have been quite busy!

RUNNING

I have been trying to run more again and in the last couple of weeks I have been, a major influence to this is being able to run with Victoria as she prepares for her first 10km. She has been making great strides in her building towards a 10km, and now thanks to her I am able to run a little slower and be comfortable and used to it. I feel long term this will improve my long distance running and hopefully get some PB’s in 2018. Almost all of my running and exercise now is to put me in as good a place as possible for 2018. It will be the year I kick ass fitness wise as I want to look good and have a little more confidence in myself again.

RELATIONSHIP

I would be remiss if I didn’t mention Victoria who has been amazingly supportive to me recently. I am still amazed she hasn’t gotten fed up with me yet. 7 months she has stuck around and I am quite grateful for it! She is a cute little rock for me and it is always great to be with a TV personality…

We have had some funny conversations regarding Christmas. She is very much a budget and sensible person. Whereas I tend to veer off into a bit of a free-er mode and feel budgets are for losers. These make her get a little annoyed as she doesn’t want me to treat her, but I want to, so if I do, then I will! Mwahaha. Anyway, I think we are spending Christmas together and that means making a vegan Christmas dinner as well as a traditional dinner for myself. Going to mix it up! A post later in December will talk about what I do at Christmas and what my family did with how I feel some of that needs to be carried on!

If you want to chat more about any of my posts, please follow me on TwitterInstagram and  Facebook also to receive updates, Until next time, thanks for reading and I hope to see you again soon!

  1. I’ve just stumbled across your blog via Twitter and I too have been AWOL for a bit. Life just gets in the way sometimes doesn’t it! Good luck with everything – you sound crazy busy, but I’m sure it will all be worth it in the end!
